Did you know that you can now buy a bulletproof vest for $299. It's pretty nice too. A new company launched that makes bulletproof vests for security guards and people that work in dangerous jobs, but I think the vest is great for preppers too. It's a level IIIA which means it will stop most handguns, but it also has plate pockets front and rear for rifle plates.
If your prepping includes storage, offense, and defense you might want to look into the BulletSafebulletproof vest. I think buying a bulletproof vest is a wise choice.
