It is very advantageous and helpful to be mentally and emotionally prepared and also know how to prepare psychologically before a natural disaster. Preparing yourself for the harsh reality helps you ride out of the storm in the best possible position to handle the aftermath of the disaster.

1.Positive Attitude. Your attitude will be one of the determinant factors for your survival.
2.First Aid Kit: Having a first aid kit in the house shouldn't be overlooked, even small measures can save life. It should be well stocked with the appropriate items such as antibiotics, bandages and illness related medicines.
3.Proper Education: An aware and well informed family is always in a better position when a natural disaster strikes
4.A Good Plan: Have an emergency plan in place. No one knows when a disaster may occur and your family might not be together, so it's important for everyone to know how to contact one another when such happens.
5.Keep Basic Tools Functional: Basic functional tools such as flashlights and others should be properly check to be sure they are working. Having tools to cut through wood, iron or metal is also important.
